Exhibits and dolls for rent


The Musée de la Poupée-Paris rents complete exhibits, parts of exhibits or items from its collections.
The creation of an exhibition on demand is also possible.


Sweet celluloid babies
Group of about 50 German and French celluloid dolls and babies made from the end of the XIXth century to the 1960’s when celluloid was forbidden from the toy industry because it was too inflammable. This group enables to follow the technical and esthetical evolution of that type of toy.


Paper dolls
About 200 paper dolls enable to discover 100 years of the rich and creative universe of that game that still enjoys children and adults.


Becassine : a 100 years old star
Exhibit of original books, rare and old dolls and objects reflecting this famous character of comics appeared in 1905.


The Studio Golia’s dolls
Exhibition of 100 drawings by the Italian artist Golia and 150 corresponding characters made by his wife Gio in the 1950’s. These elegant caricatured silhouettes made of cloth were often presented with a chic perfume or chocolate box.


Today's fashion dolls
Exhibition of about 70 American fashion dolls among which the famous Barbie. Gene, Madra, Trent and Violette recall by their beautiful clothes the 1940’s-1950’s fashion.Tyler, Kitty collier, Esme and Sydney Chase present today's fashion.


Beautiful communicants and brides
About 30 dolls of the XX’s century dressed in communicants or brides. From bisque dolls from the beginning of the century to today, these costumes will make little girls and their mothers dream.


The most beautiful dolls from 1880 to 1980
About 100 collectible dolls telling the story of this plaything from 1880 to 1980.
Made of porcelain, composition, celluloid, cloth, plastic, these dolls reflect by their costumes hairstyles and accessories the time when they only were simple children companions.

Regional costume dolls from France, Gérard collection
About 50 dolls of 37 cm presented with pictures that inspired Mrs Gérard for the making of the dolls' costume.
Regional dolls : souvenirs from France, Europe and elsewhere
About 500 dolls from the 1930’s to the 1970’s made of celluloid, composition, cellose, bisque, cloth or plastic materials dressed with their traditional costumes. The dolls will guide you in a trip around France and other countries of the world.

Dear teddy bear
Exhibit of about 30 sweet teddies from 1930 to ourdays presented with toys and accessories. The teddy bear just like dolls has received all the children's tenderness and still is the king of the plush animals.

Mignonnettes and pocket dolls
Exhibit of about 150 beautiful bisque pocket dolls of 3 to 12 cm from 1878 to 1917 among which the famous Mignonnette from "La Poupée Modèle magazine".

Artist bears and dolls
Exhibit of about 60 bears and dolls created by contemporary artists in unique piece or limited series. An exhibit of amazing dolls full of realism, humour, tenderness, beauty and that reflect each artist's personality.

Fairy tales characters
Exhibit of about 40 fairy tales characters such as Snow White and the 7 dwarf, Goldylocks and the 3 bears, Alice in wonderland, Cinderela, Hansel and Gretel, Little ridding hood... These dolls recall the facinating universe of these wonderful stories.

Sweet cloth dolls and softies
Exhibit of about 100 cloth dolls and cloth animals from the end of the XIX to today. Meet again with the sweet companions of your childhood.

Housekeeping for dolls
Exhibit presenting dolls and many everyday life items for dolls : tea sets, ovens, cookers, bateries, utensils, irons, washing machines, groceries... These objects reflect our Society from the Second Empire until today.

What a show !
Exhibit of about 100 dolls and objets on the facinating universe of circus, theatre and shows.

Merry Christmas !
Exhibit of about 50 objects presented in small scenaries presenting Christmas traditions : father Christmas, decorated christmas tree, santon...

Fur balls, the best of French plush animals
Exhibit of about 50 French plush animals from 1876 to today by the famous historical companies like Lang, F.A.D’A.P. Pintel, O’lis, …and todays firms like Blanchet, Doudou et Compagnie, Histoires d’Ours, Rose Marie Baby.

Museum’s rooms to hire

The Museum and its dolls for you alone for a few hours

The Musée de la Poupée-Paris hires its rooms to companies or individuals for meetings in an original, cordial and cosy atmosphere.


Types of hire :


- A cocktail, a tea...

- A conference, a reunion...

- A reunion followed by a cocktail

- A guided visit followed by a cocktail

- A shooting

The Museum is widely open to public, the hire of its rooms has some restrictions :

- Reduced opening hours : the evening from 6PM to 10PM or on Monday from 10AM to 10PM.
- Limited number of visitors : The Museum has about 200m2 , a small garden and 6 exhibit rooms. The biggest room can receive 20 person seated, the entire Museum can receive 150 people for a cocktail.
- It is strictly forbidden to smoke and dance in the Museum.
